Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America have helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 6 through 11 years of age). Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership divisions. (The others are Boy Scouting and Venturing.) 

Cub Scouting members join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den, usually a group of six to eight boys. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second-graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third-graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth- and fifth-graders) meet weekly at a time & place determined by the den leaders. 

Pack 8 is a member of the Pacific Rivers District of Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and is located in Ferndale, California. 

Pack 8 meets every 4th Thursday of the month for pack meetings at the Ferndale Veteran's Building at 7:00 pm.

Highlights of Pack 8's 2006-2007 year include the annual Christmas Party & Tractor Parade, Luau-themed Annual Blue and Gold Dinner, Pinewood Derby Race, Father/Son Cake Bake & Auction, participating in the Memorial Day and 4th of July Parades, and our end of the year Family Camp-out!
